A RARE SEVEN COLOUR GLASS OVERLAY SNUFF BOTTLE, China, 19th century

The bottle is carved on a white ground with a continuous design of peonies and chrysanthemums springing from a rock in red, pink, yellow, violet, turquoise and green, all on a white glass ground; the neck is bordered by a brown glass band with a greek fret. Glass stopper.
