LARGE BRONZE INCENSE BURNER, China, late 19th century

Beautifully cast, it stands on three legs out of mouths of monster heads; on the body it is decorated with three reserves with stylised phoenixes; on the sides are two fine handles.
The pierced lid is decorated with qilongs and culminates with a lion holding a ball under its paw.
