A BLUE AND WHITE 'DEER' BOWL, China, Yongzheng period (1723-1735)

Beautifully painted in underglaze blue with deer in a landscape of trees and clouds on the outside and a central medallion depicting a rabbit under a tree on the inside. In the centre of the base bears the six-character apocryphal mark of the Chenghua Emperor within a double circle in underglaze blue.
