A BRONZE INCENSE BURNER, China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912)

d. 13.5 cm

Powerful in shape, it is decorated on the foot with an incision of lotus flower petals and on the rim with an incised greek; on the sides it has two loops in the shape of lions' heads. In the centre of the base is the six-character square apocryphal mark of Emperor Xuande.
