A CELADON JADE PHOENIX VASE, China, Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th century

h. 13.2 cm

The vase in the form of a naturalistic tree trunk to its right stands a large phoenix perched on a giant lingzhi fungus, various foliage decorates the vase with examples of bamboo, pine and blossoming prunus symbolising the three friends of winter.  The stone of celadon tone. Together with a later fitted wood stand. A label.
