A LARGE IMARI BOWL ORMOLU MOUNTED, China, Kangxi period (1661-1722)

Decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze red and gold with ruyi-shaped reserves and flowers and plants on the outside, and on the inside with a tree medallion in the centre and a band with a floral decoration on the edge. It is mounted with a French gilded bronze frame with plant motifs from the Napoleone III period (mid 19th century).

Provenance: from an Italian family.
