A PAIR OF CINNABAR LACQUER VASES, China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)

h. 40 cm

In the shape of a quaterfoil baluster column, they are finely carved on the body with four reserves in which there are characters in different landscapes. On the neck they have four reserves decorated with floral motifs. The bottom is all carved with lotus flowers and foliage. They bear two labels on the base.
