A PALE CELADON JADE ‘QILONG’ LIBATION CUP, China, Ming Dynasty, 17th century
h. 5.5 cm x d. 11.3 cm
The cup of oval form is enwrapped by a twin horned qilong dragon forming the vessels handle. Its finely carved tail scrolls across the body of one side of the cup. The stone of celadon tone with specs of light russet and mottling. A later carved fitted wood stand is included.
