FOUR BLUE AND WHITE SMALL CUPS, China, Guangxu (1875-1908) mark and period

Decorated in underglaze blue flowers, the base bears an underglaze blue eight-character mark Guangxu Ding Wei Yu Haitang Zhi (光绪丁未玉海堂制) which means: "Made by Yuhaitang in the year 1907 under the reign of Guangxu".

Provenance: bought in the late 1990s/early 2000s from an Italian collector at the China Guardian auction in Beijing.
