Well painted in the center with the classic scene of the eight horses of Wang Mu in a landscape; on the outer edge it presents three horses that run; in the center of the base it bears the six-character apocryphal mark in underglaze blue of the Emperor Yongzheng within a double circle; there are two Christie’s labels on the bottom.
Provenance: from an Italian private collection, probably bought by Christie’s in London in the 1980s.
