The pages are finely miniated with the figures of a male deity, probably Bhairava, and three female. The three Pancha Raksha, protectors of Buddhism, ride a peacock, a Garuda, a mythical Hindu bird and a pair of mules, while Bhairava is supported by a male figure. The figures are well painted in the center of the pages with precision and effectiveness according to the naturalistic style of Nepalese painting of the eighteenth century; on each page there are characters in Sanskrit.
Provenance: purchased from an Italian private collection from Eskenazi in Milan in the 80s.
