TWO PORCELAIN DISHES, China, Kangxi period (1661-1722)

One in the 'blood and milk' style, lobed and modelled, is finely painted in red and gold with two armed women on horseback fighting, on the back are two stylised flowering branches; the other imari well painted with characters in a garden, on the back are three branches in blue underneath, in the centre of the base is a mark with a Buddhist object within a double circle.

Provenance: from a private Tuscan collection.
