It is painted with polychrome enamels on a turquoise ground with a bird amidst flowering wisteria branches, is inscribed on the body in kaishu with the three characters 'Dayazhai'; in the centre of the base it bears the apocryphal six-character seal mark in overglaze red and gold of Emperor Qianlong.
