A HUGE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN FISHBOWL, China, Qing dynasty, 19th century

Finely decorated on the exterior with an open scene in a mountainous landscape among pine trees, depicting warriors on horseback battling, while other figures converse in dwellings. The outer edge is adorned with a Greek key pattern and a band of iron-red bats. The rim features sixteen bats flying among clouds, and the interior is finely decorated with red fish swimming among algae.
