A HUGE SILVER TRIPOD CENSER, China, 19th / 20th century

It stands on three feet shaped like elephant heads, the body is chased with cranes, the lid pierced for the smoke to escape ends in a handle shaped like an elephant carrying a vase on its back. Weight g 8090.

"凤祥裕记银楼"便是上海老凤祥银楼的前身，于1848年创建。 
此朝冠耳式样亦称判官耳，形制见于《宣德彝器图谱》，双耳上扬，器形独特，因寓有“加官进爵”之吉兆，深受大众喜爱；此器体型硕大，炉盖呈三层宝塔式，中层镂空花卉纹，炉顶饰太平有象，象背装饰华丽，上托宝瓶；炉身双耳上扬外撇，线条舒展优美。
