A MAKI LACQUER SUZURIBAKO, Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)

Depicting two sages at the foot of a bamboo plant on the lid, the interior finely decorated with a landscape; it contains the ink stone and a cylindrical-shaped bronze paperweight finely depicting a lion; it comes with his wooden box (cm 10 x 27,5 x 30,5).
