From its imposing baluster shape, it is magnificently painted on the body with overglaze enamels depicting a continuous scene of flowers, blossoming trees, butterflies, and rocks, a band of stylized petals above the foot and ruyi-shaped cartouches enclosing flowers under the neck encompass the scene; on the neck against a pink background with floral motifs, there are four lobed cartouches inside which landscapes are painted in ink wash; the lid mirrors the decoration of the upper part of the body and culminates with a lotus flower-shaped finial.
