A PAIR OF LARGE CLOISONNÉ VASES AND COVERS, China, Qing dynasty, 18th / 19th century

The vases are decorated on each side with floral motifs, featuring applied gilt bronze falcons and bears on each corner, connected by a rope threading through a circular bi disc. The lid is topped with a ruyi fungus.

掐丝珐琅花卉纹方折角带盖方尊一对,中国,清,十八/十九世纪
器形呈方体折角,肩部方折角处各有铜鎏金蝙蝠一只,口衔绳连钱装饰,寓“福在眼前”之意。腹下四狮子抱球形足。盖钮为一组鎏金灵芝,繁茂挺拔。器体以天蓝锦纹为底纹,盖四面分别饰梅、兰、竹、菊纹饰。肩、腹四面对称式装饰,牡丹、菊花各二面。此器从纹饰、器形制作的都非常规整。
伦敦大英博物馆保存着一件非常相似的藏品,库存编号为1992,0704.1。
