In thangka art, he is often surrounded by flames, representing the destruction of all obstacles and negative forces. In Tibetan Buddhism, Hayagriva is revered as a deity who wards off evil and provides protection. He is also known for his power to heal illnesses and bestow blessings of health and well-being upon practitioners.
