Hayagriva is typically depicted with three faces and six arms, crowned with a horse head. His fierce expression, with eyes wide open, signifies fearlessness and his unwavering defense of the Dharma. In thangka art, he is often surrounded by flames, representing the destruction of all obstacles and negative forces. In Tibetan Buddhism, Hayagriva is revered as a deity who wards off evil and provides protection. He is also known for his power to heal illnesses and bestow blessings of health and well-being upon practitioners.
