A BLUE AND WHITE SMALL CUP, China, Qianlong period (1735-1796)

Beautifully modelled in the shape of a flower, it is painted in blue underneath the whole outer body with flowers; in the centre of the interior it has a medallion with a flower; in the centre of the base it has the six-character seal mark in blue underneath the blanket of the Qianlong Emperor.
Provenance: bought in the late 1990s/early 2000s from an Italian collector at the China Guardian auction in Beijing.
