A SCHIST HEAD, Gandhara, 2nd a.D. / 3rd a.D century

The round face is animated by the attentive gaze of open eyes. The moustache typical of the Kusana ethnic group, who ruled the region and much of northern India, stands out on the lips. The curls of hair cover the head in regular rows and at the top are gathered in a chignon held by a string of pearls.
